2024 Live and Virtual POWER Act CLE Event

The Pro Bono Work to Empower and Represent (POWER) Act was signed into law in September 2018 to help combat domestic abuse and sexual violence. The POWER Act mandates that each year the Chief Judge of each Judicial District across the country hold at least one event promoting pro bono legal services as a critical way to empower survivors of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault, engage citizens, and help lift victims out of the cycle of violence. Please join the Court for a discussion of the POWER Act.

2024 Virtual POWER Act Event

Under the Pro Bono Work to Empower and Represent Act of 2018 (the "POWER Act"), the Chief Judge of each federal district is required to annually host an event to promote pro bono services to empower survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Please join the Court in bringing attention to this national health crisis and reflect upon how you can help empower survivors of domestic abuse.
