On May 12, 2023, the Perfect Pearls an etiquette and mentoring club for 4th and 5th graders at Grahamwood Elementary visited the courthouse. Chief Magistrate Judge Tu Pham welcomed and hosted the students in his courtroom. The students were assigned and placed in courtroom roles as the judge, deputy clerk, court reporter, plaintiff, defendant, court security officer, witness and jury. The students learned about each position from courtroom staff and were able to ask questions. The students heard from a U.S. Marshal and were able to see the courtroom lock up and U.S. Marshals control room. The students ended their day with lunch with Chief Judge Lipman, Chief Magistrate Judge Pham, Magistrate Judge Christoff, Clerk of Court Wendy Oliver, and the courtroom staff.
